Kia Sedona VS Chevrolet Suburban

If you follow long on Instagram then you saw I posted this picture back in July.
We have taken 2 big family road trips this year so we rented cars for each of them.
We rented the Kia Sedona back in April for Rachel & Patricks Wedding.
My Aunt rented the Chevrolet Suburban for our trip in July to PA for a girls weekend.

I thought I should share my Pros and Cons of both vehicles.
They are both 2016 models.
They both have leather interior.
My girls loved them both.
I loved them both for different reason.

2016 Kia Sedona
David and I rented this so for his cousins wedding.
For my first mini van I'm glad it was a KIA, I never thought I'd love a KIA.
But y'all I really loved this van.
The entire trip back while David drove, I searched for the best deals on a model for myself.
Needless to say David didn't think a van was a necessary purchase.
Pros:
7 Seats! I love that the middle had bucket seats.
Tons of leg room.
Middle Console organization.
RADIO AND BLUETOOTH (guys I have been without for 2 years!)
Drove like an SUV, you're up really high.
Leather Interior (so easy to wipe clean with little ones)
Trunk was very deep.
Automatic Side doors. (Tensley LOVED this!)
Great Gas Mileage (highway was close to 28)

Cons:
The 3rd row sinks down a tad. It's lower then the middle row.
Automatic side doors (I know what momma puts this on the con, but when you 4 year old is constantly wanting to 'help' open and close them. It can make you a bit nervous and crazy.)
Hard to reach the girls from the driver seat (I'm spoiled being able to reach them both)
It's a minivan.......

2016 Chevrolet Suburban
My Aunt rented this for our girls weekend to PA.
We went to see the play Sampson and shop with her best friend.
I have been dreaming about being a suburban momma.
Guys my dreams came true for an entire weekend.
I will say this the suburban hype is all that it is cracked up to be.
David forget the van get this momma a Surburban PRONTO!

Pros:
The Trunk Space totally put the Sedona's trunk space to shame!
Leather Interior
The middle console organization. Y'all I could fit my purse in there and it's a BIG Bag!
8 Seats...Wahoo more friends!
Blindspot Mirror lights. (so helpful when needing to change lights)
Drove smoothly and easily.
Keyless Entry (This is a must for all mommas!)
Key Engine Start (Again a must for all mommas!)
Not a Minivan! :)

Cons:
BLACK LEATHER INTERIOR (OUCH!)
8 seats... guys in an SUV you need middle bucket seats.
Radio/DVD Middle Screen...it's overwhelming
Blindspot Mirror lights, until you get use to them they will give you major ANXIETY!

I hope this review of both vehicles was helpful. I know that once David and I are ready to upgrade my Jetta to something bigger we will definitely keep these rentals and their reviews in our minds.

Disclaimer, this post is in NO WAY sponsored by Kia or Chevrolet. We rented each both theses vehicles on our own. The opinions of each vehicle are my own. THANK YOU so much for supporting the blog! Love Y’all!

Catch Up Thursday | Duck, NC.

Boy have I missed catching up with you guys.
I feel like it has been forever since we have shared coffee together (okay I'm having chocolate milk) and caught up with one another on a Thursday morning.

No worries at least for the next 3 weeks we will be catching up and I hope as life continues to happen I can plan out my Catch Up Thursday post for the rest of the year. :)

We hit the road once David got off work on Tuesday evening to meet David's family at the beach back in August.
See the smile on our parents, those are smiling thinking we are the smartest people in the world to drive to the beach at night because our girls will sleep.
The smiles and our girls fooled us!
#kidsone #parentszero

See... it's close to 11:30 and they are both wide awake.
Also I'm wedged in-between 2 carseats in my father in laws Hyundai.

11:45 we found Everley some semi warm milk.
She barely drank her bottle.
But again these smiling parents think we will finally get them to sleep.
{Please laugh, it's okay....they didn't laugh}

Waking up to find your cousin will make everything better!
Also my sweet mother in law had coffee brewing, you bet this mama had a BIG GIRL CUP!

Off to the beach early that morning.
We found this wagon on amazon and my cover up.
Seriously the wagon is the best, I'm looking into getting a canopy so we can use it for more activities.

Great Uncle Dave and Kathy.
They decided to stay an extra night so they can see the kids.
We all just love Dave and Kathy.
The kids have a ball every time they are around, it maybe because Dave is a big kid!

This girl loved the shade and snacks more then the beach.
No worries she warmed up to it on the second day.

Poppaw agree to the kids burring him in the sand.
#bestpoppaw

My favorite people!

These two are the best of friends.

Aquarium.
Tensley enjoyed the turtles the best.
Brayden enjoyed the sharks.
We all enjoyed the scuba diver who braved the shark tank.

Thanks Old Navy for allowing the girls and I to match.
{My jumpsuit and the girls shorts are currently unavailable}

One evening we took the girls out walking and Uncle Mark tagged along.
It was so nice to go out to the board walk and see the shops.
I truly enjoyed the live music.

On the grandkids last morning we all ventured out to Duck Donuts.
It was so worth the experience and the bite.

Tensley requested this Oreo Donut herself.
Her and Everley shared, don't worry David and I snuck one bit each.

Driving home the girls slept in the car. Wahoo.
Also we learned that at Starbucks you can get a kids steamed milk
so that you can put in a bottle for little ones.
All of our travels will know ensure that we have a Starbucks in route.
For those curious, David only bought a kids steam milk for his baby. Nothing for myself or Tensley.
