Welcome Everley Ann

May 9 came early for us. I woke up at 4am to call our hospital to make sure they would be ready for me to check-in at 7am. Sure enough everything was still a Go! So David and I ate breakfast, made sure everything was packed, and I did some last minute clean up around the house. I was so excited to get to the hospital, I was beyond ready to meet our precious little girl!

Now only our family, close friends, and small group knew that we were going into the hospital that morning for me to be induced! We decided once we were all settled in and things were started we would make the official social media announcement!

By 8am we were all settled in and the meds were flowing, so we were getting ready to be here for the long hall. David was teaching me about the locks there were on the doors, yep you know your married to a locksmith when they are teaching you about locks! Don't worry eventually my lesson was over, we attempted reading, a movie, and finally realized that the radio was the key for us!

At 10:30 I got my epidural and within an hour my Dr. J came in to break my water (Fun Fact: He missed delivery Tensley by an hour and half, so he also wanted to deliver Everley if possible!). My bestie Katelyn came by for a quick visit, I think she was hoping Everley would have appeared right then. However no luck for Auntee KK. At 1:50 Dr. J came back in after I had told my nurse that I felt like I was ready to push. Sure enough he said we were all ready to go! Wahoo, Come on Baby Girl!
By 2:15 we started the delivery process, about 2 hours later (we took a 45 minute break to relax and regroup) our sweet Everley arrived at 4:44pm! She is absolutely beautiful and just so perfect! She has easily transition into our family and we have easily moved into being family of 4. Honestly I barely remember what life was like without our sweet girl.

Now our hospital encourages Kangaroo Care, so for the first hour she and I were totally skin to skin (yep David didn't get to hold her until almost 2 hours later). It was so nice to just snuggle and hold her, I enjoyed every minute of it. I know David enjoyed going out to pick up dinner too.
Once Kangaroo Care was over, she got weighted and her bath! Our girl weighed 7 lbs 6.2 ounces and 19.5 inches long! Our smallest baby, but oh how we loved having a true newborn!

Waiting means photoshoot while daddy plays with the camera

Katelyn makes a quick visit! So good having this girl stop by

Our sweet girl, Everley Ann Boswell.

Love how she is looking at him. Proud Daddy!
So blessed with these two ladies! Love them so much
Nurse Denise & Nurse Allie.

She is officially a BIG Sister!
Fun Fact: She tells everyone she mets that she is the big sister!
I absolutely love that she does that, yes even to strangers and my heart burst with
joy each and every time!

Last day as 3

May 8th was officially our last day as a family of 3!

That entire morning I had a feeling I would be going over to the hospital to have our sweet Everley, though that wasn't the case. I had a doctors appt that morning, I wasn't far enough along for my doctor to send me over the hospital. Though have many looks at one another, him mentioning he was at the hospital that weekend, and I pointing out that it was Mother's Day. He said he would go ahead an induce me Saturday morning at 7am! WAHOO!

We decided to only tell our families and our small group at first. We made an official announcement on Saturday that we were at the hospital awaiting her arrival!

I picked Tensley up from school that day. Knowing it was my last day with just her I wanted to make it truly count! So I made sure that it was an extra special day for her before her world is totally turned up side down.  As soon as school let out we went straight to her favorite park!

Climbing up the rock wall!

We stopped at our Aunt Carolyn's. I needed lunch and Tensley wanted a Ho-Ho, so a Ho-Ho it is!!

After we went back to the park. We stopped by Chik-Fa-La.
I love our Freebie Card every month! She loved another round of playing.

Then we came home and watch a couple of episodes of Sofia the First, Daniel Tiger, and
Minnie Mouse Bowtique! I was loving all the extra snuggles.

She packed herself for a sleepover with my Aunts.
She thought it was just a typically sleepover, nothing special :)

We convinced Daddy to have a picnic dinner back at her favorite park.
KFC was dinner of choice. David's pick!
I know your shocked too!

Skipping rocks together. Her favorite activity with him.

She rode her big girl bike for the first time! She did so great, I cried behind her the entire time.
Thankful for this guy and his willingness to run and catch up with her.

This was her reaction when we told her that her sister would be
arriving the NEXT day!  She squealed so loud with excitement!

4 Year Anniversary

On May 7th we celebrated one of my favorite days of the year, our 4 year wedding Anniversary. It’s hard to believe that we have already been married for 4 years, those years didn’t always come easy but they have been the most fulfilling 4 years.
We have continued to put our marriage first and fight for our time together so that we can continue to grow in our relationship. We have better learned how to communicate with one another, date one another, and truly be there when times are hard. By putting Christ first in the center of our marriage over the past few years, I can see how our marriage has blossomed. I can also see with great humility the areas the Lord wants us to work on.

David,

It is truly a blessing being married to you, my best friend. You have a way of making me laugh, even when I tell you your jokes aren’t funny. You know how to keep me calm when I’m overwhelmed or feel things are too chaotic. You have taught me to have more patients, not to be such an in pulse buyer, and to be more adventurist. Though the greatest thing you have ever given me besides our now 2 beautiful daughters, was the ability to be a full-time stay at home mommy this past year. For that I am eternally grateful for the hard work and sacrifices you make.

Wedding Day!
